Error while saving rules that references rules in other rulesets



Error occurs while saving rules that references rules in other rulesets.

Error Messages

String value of a cell—

.MyProperty does not exist or is not a valid entry for this ruleset and its prerequisites.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a property, Data-Portal-MyProperty, in PropertyRuleset:01-01-04 ruleset
  2. Create a section, Data-Portal-MySection in PortalRuleset:01-01-06 ruleset
  3. Use the property in the section rule and save it. Error occurs

Root Cause

An issue in the custom application code or rules. The ruleset was included in the top level application as well as in a built on application that was lower in the stack than the rulesets that contained the referenced rules.


Perform the following local-change:

Remove the ruleset from the built on application.
