Summary



Multiple errors raised when developer is trying to SaveAs a MapValue rule ported from PRPC 5.5. SP1 into Pega 7.1.5 into a higher RuleSet-Version.

Steps to Reproduce



Try to SaveAs a MapValue rule ported from PRPC 5.5. SP1 into Pega 7.1.5 into a higher RuleSet-Version.

Root Cause



The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code that results in corrupted MapValue rule ported from PRPC 5.5 SP1.

This conclusion was corroborated by the following onsite test:

1. Privately check out the ported rule.
2. Try to save it. Observe the same errors raised. 


Resolution



This issue is resolved through the following local-change:

1. Create new MapValue rule in Pega 7.1.5.
2. Manually copy the data from the old MapValue rule. "Edit in Excel" option can be used to expedite the data entry.
