Export to Excel functionality is not working in Pega 7.1.7

Summary



Export to Excel functionality is not working in SSO enabled environment in Pega 7.1.7 with IE11 browser.

Error Messages



Export data is not a valid XML string.

Steps to Reproduce



Click on any of the data table and hit the Export to Excel button.

Root Cause



Edit in Excel functionality for Data Tables is not supported from Pega 7.1.7 onwards.

Resolution



HFix has been devised and published for Pega 7.1.7 version that actually removes the "Edit in Excel" Button itself from the product for Data Tables so that user mandatorily convert all their existing data table to the new local data storage.
