Expression editor pop up not working properly

SA-19152

Summary

When editing a When rule containing an expression, the second popup that allows for editing the expression, has the left side partially hidden behind the Recent list of the left side Navigation pane on the screen.

Error Messages

Not Applicable.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open When rule that has expression.
2. Open Edit expression form.

Observe the form appears in the left of the user working area.

3. Close the form, make Pega window smaller and open Edit expression form again - it is opened too left and part of the form is well behind the Recent list.

One can use scroll-bars, but this is not inline with best practices and location must be calculated properly instead.

In addition if the flow done in IE, then horizontal scrolls causes a bunch of vertical lines to appear in the Edit expression form.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules as overlays are aligned left. Since Pega 7.2 overlays can be centered and therefore the fix can be addressed only in later versions of Pega 7.2.

Resolution

This issue is scheduled to be resolved in update release 7.2.1
