Failed to retrieve tables for upgrade, see exception in log

Summary



System --> Release --> Upgrade --> Upgrade Application Schema fails to show Data Tables and Work tables that may require an upgrade with an error message


Error Messages



com.pega.pegarules.pub.database.DatabaseException: Unable to find the schema name for the connection.


Steps to Reproduce

  1. Login to Pega 7.2.2 as a devloper
  2. From Designer Studio select System --> Release --> Upgrade --> Upgrade Application Schema
  3. Click on + Upgrade Data Tables, Click on Upgrade Work and History Tables


Root Cause



Old database schema is present in the Data-Admin-DB-Name instance.

Resolution



Delete the invalid Data-Admin-DB-Name instances.
