Field level error message control is indented and wrapped

The field level error message under dropdown control is indented and wrapped. The user requirement is to remove the space before the error message so that it is inline with the dropdown control or utilize the space under the label and display the message beginning from the label.

Error Messages

Not Applicable.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a UI section
  2. Add a property
  3. Add a validation for the property under the Validate rule
  4. View the section in the end user portal
  5. Submit the screen ensuring to fail the validation

Root Cause

This is as per Pega Product design. Error message is displayed below the field as dynamic layout is used and the error will be intended and starts only below the text box or dropdown rather than from the label.

Perform the below local-change:

Private edit the UserWorkForm and add and save the below Cascading Style Sheets (CSS):

  .dynamic-icon-error-div>.dynamic-icon-error, .gridDefault .dynamic-icon-error-div>.dynamic-icon-error {
    position: absolute;
    padding-left: 0px;
