Field Placeholder value is set as value of the property

Summary
Post upgrade to Pega 7.1.8, the Placeholder value M/d/yyyy in the field is set as the value of the property.
Error Messages

Steps to Reproduce
- Upgrade to PRPC 6.2 to Pega 7.1.8
- Add a Date type control and set the Placeholder as 'Expected Format' in the field
- Add a button with a Finish assignment action
Root Cause
A software use or operation error.
The user is using older rules like Action area and ran Internet Explorer in the compatibility mode.
Resolution
Perform the following local-change:Remove the compatibility setting from the Internet Explorer and upgrade to the latest Pega rules or APIs.
