Fields are not shown on selecting option from dropdown

Summary
Developer has the visibility of several UI elements (dropdowns, text input fields) controlled the selection of a value in a dropdown. After installing HFix-9874 and its dependencies (specifically HFix-8311), this is no longer working correctly. Some of the additional fields are no longer appearing when they should.

Root Cause
Developer is using a custom dropdown control originally derived from an out of the box version 5.2 control. This code is no longer compatible with the PRPC 6.3sp1 UI environment.
Resolution
The explanation for this behavior is as follows: Custom controls are outside the guardrails, and should be avoided. Developer has been recommended to use out of the box controls instead.
