Fields display as read-only when Edit option is set to Auto
SA-83783
Summary
When the system has a Single Sign-On (SSO) or LDAP authentication, the Fields for a URL display as read-only when the Edit option is set to Auto.
The same configuration works when the system has standard authentication.
Error Messages
Not Applicable
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a parent section.
- Create another section with fields which have the Edit option set to Auto.
- Include this section in the parent section and mark it as Editable. Though the section is marked as editable, the fields display as Read Only.
Root Cause
An issue in the custom application code or rules.
In the menu, the harness was configured to launch with the read-only option set to true. Hence, controls with the 'Auto' read-only mode are rendered in the read-only mode.
Resolution
Perform the following local-change:
Select No for the Read-only option in the Menu.
