File Listener fails post update from 7.1.9 to 7.2.2

Summary



The File listener fails to initialize or start post update from Pega 7.1.9 to 7.2.2 when accessing shared network drive in Windows Server.

The service ID's and file access have not changed during the Update.

Unable to create 'work' directory 'file://resadaptor:/{/absolute_directory_path}'.

If user changes the File path to a local file path then it works. The issue occurs only with the with Shared Drive path.

Steps to Reproduce



Start the file Listener from System Management Application (SMA).


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.

This is a regression defect introduced due to the new features or improvements made to FileListener engine code.

Resolution



Apply HFix-34138.
