File Listener process is very slow

The File Listener performance degrades when processing files one row at a time.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

Process a file a row at a time with the File Listener.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules
When Recovery is set, each row has a database access which causes the elapsed time to increase. Refactoring has added a code that checks if the node is in the Quiesce status on each row processed. This is to avoid long running listeners from causing the Quiesce process to take long.

  1. Apply HFix-62148
  2. Set the below Dynamic System Setting (DSS) to remove the node state check:

    Owning Ruleset: Pega-IntegrationEngine
    Purpose: listener/skipListenerStateCheck
    Value: true
