Flow action section under different page does not get packaged

A button is configured on a section to open a local action in a modal dialog. The local action resides in a Work- class and it references a section from a Data- class. When this configuration is run on a desktop browser, the modal dialog is rendered as expected. However, if the same scenario is run in an offline mobile app, there is an error in the logs.

Error Messages

ENGINE API:Error packaging item with key - section!!<YourSectionName>. Exception Failed to find instance @baseclass.<YourSectionName> of type Rule-HTML-Section.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Configure a button on a section to open a local action in modal dialog.
  2. Let the local action reside in a Work- class, and it references a section from a Data- class.
  3. Run this configuration on a mobile app and check the logs.

Root Cause

The reported configuration is currently not supported for offline. This issue is determined to be a product enhancement request.

An enhancement request, FDBK-20808, has been created for consideration by Pega Product Management.

One possible local change to try: create pyAttachmentPage that you have in your configuration through data transform/javascript code before load of the section that hosts the button, so that it is available when packaging is invoked.
