Focus does not return to the link that launches the local action

User launches a local action from a link. The local action replaces the current screen. After the local action is completed successfully, user expects the focus to return to the link that launches the local action. However, it does not happen.

Error Messages

Not Applicable.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Configure the link to launch a local action, with the 'Replace Current' option

  2. At run time, launch the local action from the link
  3. Complete the local action and click Submit

Root Cause

The reported issue is caused due to browser behavior. On click of the link, the control moves from the section to the local action configured (replace current window) . The browser does not save the state of the focus on the section. Hence, it focuses the first element on the page which is sometimes the URL or the first control in the section.

This is as per Pega Product design.

Perform the following local-change:

Move to Modal option to shift the focus to the link that launches the local action.
