FormatDateTime function output result incorrect

Summary



In Pega 8.2.1, the FormatDateTime function output result is incorrect when using the below Property set Code.

@DateTime.FormatDateTime(.ActualParentalLeaveStartDate,"","Australia/Melbourne","en_AU")


In Pega 8.2.1 (ActualParentalLeaveStartDate :20190526T140000.000 GMT)

Output: 20190527T000000.000 AEST

Prior to Pega 8.2.1 (ActualParentalLeaveStartDate :20190526T140000.000 GMT)

Output: 20190527T000000.000 GMT+10:00

Steps to Reproduce



Create a data transform and set a property to the below function:

@DateTime.FormatDateTime(.ActualParentalLeaveStartDate,"","Australia/Melbourne","en_AU")


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’  code or rules.


Resolution



Perform the following local-change:
  1. Open the out-of-the-box DateTime library and save it in the application ruleset.
  2. Open the out-of-the-box FormatDateTime function and save it in the application ruleset.
  3. Check in the changes.
  4. Click the Generate library function buttons.
  5. Clear the browser cache for the new function to take effect.
