Generated error message does not display after processing

SA-50390

Summary

The generated error message after processing does not display. This occurs when the main assignment has an existing error message.

Error Messages

Not Applicable.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Add a repeat grid
  2. Configure one of the column actions to display Menu. The menu action should open local action in a modal dialog
  3. Configure a validate rule for the main assignment and one for the modal local actions
  4. Generate a validation error on the main assignment
  5. Click the Menu to open the local action
  6. Click Submit. The validation on the local action generates an error message on the Clipboard. This does not display

Root Cause

If there is any field level errors on the form, harness errors do not update.

Resolution

Perform the following local-change:
  1. Include pyCaseErrorSection section in the local action section with visibility set to when 'hasMessage'. This displays the error on the primary page into modal dialog
  2. On the Perform harness (Display options tab) change 'Form-level errors' to default and uncheck the 'Always show' check box
  3. Remove 'pyCaseErrorSection' section include from 'pyCaseHeaderOuter'
  4. Add the following style in UserWorkForm:

<style>
#modalWrapper #ERRORTABLE {
display: none !important;
}
</style>
