Getting Application at context path /prweb could not be started

Summary



When deploying a 'successfully' installed Pega 7.1.7 application on Apache Tomcat, user was blocked with an error reading "FAIL - Application at context path /prweb could not be started".

Steps to Reproduce



Install Pega7.1.7 using deployment package 114716_Pega717
Follow install guide for Tomcat deployment
Deploy prweb.war


Root Cause



User has setup PRPC RuleBase on MS SQL Server and was referring to the an incorrect datasource (was referring to PostgreSQL JDBC connection URL) in context.xml file.

Resolution



Suggested user to update <Resource> element definition in context.xml as suggested for MS SQL datasource in the Pega7 installation guide for Tomcat.
