Getting empty properties in XML even with DetectEmptyProperties



After upgrade to Pega 7.1.9 SOAP services are sending additional tags. This looks to be related to the following PDN article:

Steps to Reproduce

Run a SOAP service.

Root Cause

A software use or operation error:  There were errors in the XSD files leading to required elements being generated with no content.


This new behavior in Stream XML rule generation is effective only with the below Dynamic System Setting (DSS) configuration, which avoids backward compatibility issues:

Owning Ruleset : Pega-IntegrationEngine
Purpose : StreamXML/DetectEmptyProperties
Value : true
