Grid overflow issue with IE Browser

SA-43059

Summary

In Internet Explorer, user has a grid in a section that is overflowing over to the right pane.

No horizontal scroll bar exists. The same works well in Chrome browser.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Add a grid repeat layout to a section.
  2. Include many columns in the grid.
  3. Observe that the columns overflow onto the right pane.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules

The <table> html elements are not resizing with respect to content.

Resolution

Perform the following local-change:

Enclose a dynamic layout to the repeat grid and put "overflow-x:scroll" as inline style in the presentation tab of DL. This shows a scroll bar.

(Or)

Configure Repeating Dynamic Layout instead of repeat grid, if feasible. With more refined markup, it supports responsiveness better when compared to repeat grid layout.
