Guardrail warning occurs on saving data page as node level page

SA-61458

Summary

Guardrail warning displays on saving a data page as a node level page.

Error Messages

A data page of this name already exists with a scope of thread or requestor. Configuring this data page with a scope of node will prevent this page from loading asynchronously.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Log in to the application
  2. Create a data page in a lower version in the thread or requestor level
  3. In a higher version, change the data page to node level. Guardrail warning displays for the higher version data page

Root Cause

This is as per Pega Product design.

Resolution

Here’s the explanation for the reported behavior:

The current implementation checks for all the available data pages across multiple ruleset versions and adds the guardrail warnings whenever applicable. This is an intended behavior to check across all the data pages with the same name instead of checking just the one in the higher version.
