GUI - Default Opening : Up on right instead of Up on left

SA-36398

Summary

When user opens the Dashboard screen by default the scrollbar is moving to right, user is expecting it to left on default.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

1.Create a report defintion with more than 15 columns.
2. Enable Pagination and make sure that you have large data so that page numbers can be seen.
3. Configure the report for manager/user to open.
4. Observe that when the user opens the report the scroll bar is seen dragged completely towards right instead of being at left side.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems.

When the user opens the report the focus is set at page 1 of the page numbers in the pagination ribbon which is present towards the right most corner of the report and as it is known that the focus is set at the first clickable item in the entire page so page 1 being the first clickable item which is present towards right.

Hence the focus is set at right side of the report and due to which the scroll bar by default scrolled to the right side of the window.

Resolution

Include a text field in the dynamic layout or section where the report is present and make it editable so that when the worklist is loaded the text field is focused first and the scroll bar will not shift to the right most corner where the page numbers are present.

Note: Set the size of the textfield to 0px so that it is not visible in the screen.
