Note: the issue occurs with all harnesses and any browsers.

Steps to Reproduce

Try to open any Harness rule after upgrade.

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code/rules.

pzHarnessRuleFormUtils.js file is missing after upgrade from PRPC 6.2SP2 to Pega 7.1.7.

This js file is used by the following rule:

Rule-HTML-Harness
RuleForm
Pega-UIDesign:07-10-01

This issue is happening only for the upgraded environments. If you freshly install Pega 7.1.7, then the harness rule displays correctly.

Resolution

This issue is resolved through the following Local-change:

Exported this pzHarnessRuleFormUtils.js file from the fresh installation of Pega 7.1.7 by creating product rule and importing it on the environment where the issue occurred. After importing this rule, harness rule is displays correctly.
