High availability functionality not working correctly



  1. Upon recovering a lost session after re-login the user is presented with read only views into any work objects that were open in a Perform harness prior to the crash.  An assignment link is provided which will take the user to the Perform Harness.
  2. If the high availability (HA) advisory session recovery notification is disabled via HA Admin functionality the functionality of the restored sessions is also lost.

Steps to Reproduce

For number 1:
  1. Log in to the system.
  2. Open a few interactions.
  3. Close the browser.
  4. Log back in.

For number 2:

  1. Go to Designer Studio > System > High Availability > HA Cluster Settings > Enable end user messaging of a crash event.
  2. Uncheck this item.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules :  The first point is the intended behavior, and will not be changed by Pega. The second point is a known issue which will be fixed in a future version of the Product.  


The first issue is expected behavior, and will not be changed. This second issue is scheduled to be resolved in update release .
