How to authenticate LDAP connection through Websphere

Summary



Currently,Chordiant Foundation server application user authentication is done using LDAP API.
User has requested information if its possible to authenticate using the established connection between Websphere and LDAP, with Websphere functionality to connect to DB and JMS.

Refer USING WEBSPHERE GLOBAL SECURITY section of Foundation Server Developers Guide for steps to configure LDAP through WAS Console.
When using RAD user, enable the WAS Global Security in the web application by following the instructions provided in "Enabling WAS Global Security in Web Apps: RAD DE” on page 320".

After this enable WAS Global Security through the Console because the ChordiantEAR application cannot be published properly after WAS Global Security is enabled. Refer to “Troubleshooting in the RAD Development Environment” on page 327 for more details.
