How to skip portal tabs/links to get to work area

How can we use the Pega accessibility framework (PegaWAI ruleset) to allow the JAWS screen reader tool to skip to portions of the screen via keystroke?

Pega 7.1 has added the ability for JAWS to offer to skip content on the page when it reaches a specific point on the page.  For this feature to be available, you need both the PegaWAI ruleset installed, accessability enabled, and JAWS on.

When you launch the portal with JAWS on, use the TAB key to navigate, and after the first or second TAB, JAWS will offer a short-cut key to skip to the workarea.

However, this new feature does not include the ability to move the browser focus to specific elements.  Although, you may be able to achieve this functionality by applying the local change below:

Configure an "ENTER" key press event of the pxLink control and add a "Set Focus" behavior to specify which property the focus should jump to when user presses ENTER.
The caveat with this solution is that the "target" property needs to be in the same class/same inheritance path as the section where the hyperlink is configured.
