HtmlOfListView results in PDF-Issue/RUF: ListView.categorizeView

SA-71803

Summary

ListViews are used in some Case-HTML-View-Assembly cases through the Work-AttachmentListView (Pega-ProCom:07-10-01) Section.
The Rule-Utility-Function ListView.categorizeView of Pega-WB:07-10-17 includes the <DIV id='vKeys'><Label...>...</ DIV> tag instead of <DIV id='vKeys'><Label...>...</DIV>. Hence, the space in </ DIV> is not removed from the function.

Error Messages

There are subsequent steps of HTML-Result-Processing e.g. with desired function to convert result in PDF.

Steps to Reproduce

Adopt the Case-HTML-View from the PrintView-Screen through the Work-AttachmentListView (Pega-ProCom:07-10-01) Section which includes the following,
  • Link-Attachment.AttachmentListEmbed.ALL (Pega-EndUserUI:07-10-21) ListView without SI-Framewok
  • Link-Attachment.AttachmentListEmbed.ALL (PegaSI:07-11-01) ListView with SI-Framework.
Both the ListViews invoke the pega_reporting_listview.categorizeView Rule-Utility-Function
This results in the </ DIV> tag with an additional blank space included and malformed HTML.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.
An invalid HTML tag (</ DIV>) is written to the HTML output. While the browsers ignore the invalid tag, it causes PD4ML, the HTML-to-PDF renderer used by Pega to fail.

Resolution

Apply HFix-50191.
