HTTP 401 error with CMIS connection

Summary



User receives a HTTP 401 (‘unauthorized’) error when testing our PRPC CMIS Connector against a “FileNet” Content Managements System. User has confirmed using correct credentials.

Caused by:
javax.xml.ws.soap.SOAPFaultException: org.apache.axis2.AxisFault: HTTP ( 401 ) Unauthorized address : http://xxxxxx/fncmis/RepositoryService


Steps to Reproduce

  1.  In PRPC, create a SOAP server with url and credentials provided by filenet. This is required as CMIS connectors are connecting over a SOAP connection.
  2. In PRPC, create CMIS connector using the SOAP server created. Then test the CMIS connector connection.


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.
PRPC did not send an HTTP cookies which were set by FileNet.


Resolution



Apply HFix-28146.
