HTTP 404 error for missing accessibility CSS file

SA-12713

Summary

There are a lot of HTTP 404 error messages in the PegaRULES logfile indicating the that an accessibility Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) file is missing.

Error Messages

ERROR - 404 on request: ...*/css/harness_accessibility.css

Steps to Reproduce

There is no specific use case to reproduce this issue.

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code/rules. There are CSS files that are part of the Pega Accessibility framework and are mistakenly referenced by the CPM rule PegaApp-TransferData.AppCallTransferData even when the Accessibility framework is not installed.

Resolution

This issue is resolved through the following local-change:

PegaApp-TransferData.AppCallTransferData is not a final rule, thus this is resolved by saving a copy into your application ruleset and removing the references if you are not using the Accessibility framework.
