Hyphen character displayed as '?' character

Summary



While generating the data as the file, the Hyphen character displayed as '?' character.


Error Messages

Steps to Reproduce



1. Create a HTML rule.
2. Load the content of HTML rule to Rich Text Editor.
3. Generate the content of RTE to PDF using HTMLTOPDF activity on Button.


Root Cause



A software use or operation error : user did not set the required font parameter to HTMLTOPDF activity. Hence dash character is shown as ?

Resolution



Perform the following local-change steps:

a) Set the following parameter before calling the HTMLtoPDF activity.
    Set pyPDFGeneratePDFA parameter to true (Param.pyPDFGeneratePDFA = true)
b) Below is the screen print to illustrate.



The significance of the parameter is to forcefully set the fonts directory and required fonts to generate the PDF document.
