Icon control does not work as expected in Firefox browser

Summary



User has configured an icon control to run an activity and then a javascript on click. The icon is working fine in Internet Explorer browser and Chrome browser but it does not work in Firefox browser. The script does not run on clicking the icon in Firefox browser. Reportedly, Tracer shows that the activity is executed. Latest version of Firefox is being used.

Steps to Reproduce


 
  1. Create an icon control.
  2. Run Script.

Root Cause



"event"  is not recognized in Firefox browser.

Resolution



In the script user was using event without passing any event to the function.

In Firefox browser event is not recognized. So change the event to be recognized to:

​ event=event || window.event;
