IE11 crash after saving and closing a delegated rule



Using Internet Explorer 11, a business administrator opens a some delegated rules, clicks a rule to open it in a new window, and then closes the rule window using the Close button on the toolbar or the standard Windows Close control. Internet Explorer 11 crashes.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a delegate rule.
  2. Assign it to Business Administrator.
  3. As a Business Administrator, open the delegated rule in a new window.
  4. Close that window.
The browser crashes.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules caused by custom handling of events using the eval function in pzActiveXUtilForDecisionTableAndMapValueRuleForms js file
