Impression Count is not getting updated in the campaign Goals

Summary


User is running campaign sending emails via prospect list though campaigns. Configure the goals to get the total impressions and Impressions rate. It is observed that impression count is properly updated in the Campaign Landing Page. When user opens the campaign impression, count is not updated properly in the program side bar and in campaign overview.

It is also observed, the impression count is updated till one value, after certain value irrespective of the number of impressions made it is not reflecting. The value remain same in campaign overview and side bar.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a campaign.
  2. Choose the target audience as Prospect.
  3. Set the goals total sent, Impressions rate, Total impressions, Outbound conversion rate, Click through rate any value.
  4. Configure the a simple of proposition data to send email. In the offer set the a sample treatment. Load the prospect list; if does not exist create it from segmentation.
  5. Give the engagement to run the campaign to run for single occurrence.


Root Cause



This is an expected behaviour.

Resolution



Here’s the explanation for the reported behavior:

If all offers in a campaign run are complete and the campaign is a “one-off” campaign the campaign run will complete after the offers flows have run. Once the campaign run is complete, this will trigger the campaign itself to complete. As part this processing, there is some extra processing that happens including some cleanup work, which could be the reason you have a couple of mins before the campaign actually completes.

The impressions always get recorded in interaction history, which is why you will continue to see them on the campaign landing page
