Improper alignment seen when a report is printed

Summary



User "Runs" a report definition rule, and uses OOTB Print option to print the report. User observes that the Chart doesn't render at the center, and that column alignment is not in tabular format (some of the columns don't even appear).

Steps to Reproduce



1. Run a report that contains multiple columns and a chart 
    
2. Maximize the screen/modal window in which the report is open 

    

3. Click on OOTB Print link. Observe that the entire report is not rendered for printing.

        

Root Cause



The out of the box Print functionality executes window.print() function, which is a universal function that contains native code handled by browser. If the report contains more columns with more data then it occupies more width and therefore while printing, it considers only that amount of data that can fit into the printer's default paper size.


Resolution



If the report appears truncated then user can change the paper size from the default size, say "A4" to "A3" or whichever is appropriate, and that shall resolve the behaviour.

To illustrate, after changing the default paper size from A4 to A3, the entire report is rendered for printing -
