Inconsistency in Displaying Date in format "days hours"
SA-22821
Summary
User is displaying Due Date in Date Time control in format as "days hours" in workbasket.
In most of the scenarios it is working as expected, that is showing the days and hour value, however for other it is showing only the days value.
Although it is happening for only 1-2 minutes. After that if user refreshes the screen, user can see the expected value.
Working scenario:- 6 days 23 hours
Non-Working Scenario:- 7 days
Error Messages
Not Applicable.
Steps to Reproduce
1. Configure the Date Time control which is used to display Due Date in workbasket with format as "days hours".
2. Create a case and set its due date 7 days from create date.
3. Go to case manager portal and check for the due date value of the created case in Workbasket.
Root Cause
An issue in the custom application code or rules: The application is behaving as expected.
Taking the use-case stated above, when users check due date's value just after creating the case, the value of the due date is 7 days only. There is no single minute elapsed from Due Date value, hence it displays complete 7 days as its value.
After few minutes, when user checks it again, the Due Date value at that time becomes 6 Days 23 Hours XX minutes. As user has used "Days Hours" as display format, only 6 Days 23 Hours is shown to screen.
Resolution
Perform the following local-change:
Set the due date 1 minute less than 7 days.
This will force the system to display its value in the configured format.
