Steps to Reproduce
- Create a report definition with a DateTime property
- Configure a custom control to display the DateTime value in the DateTime format of mm/dd/yy hh:mm GMT
- Run the report
- Generate the excel using the Export to Excel option
Root Cause
Pega does not support custom controls on Date columns because there is no guarantee the result of the control could be parsed by Excel as a date.
RESOUTION
Here's the explanation of the reported behavior:
Pega has introduced new implementation for the Export to Excel feature. The new Export to Excel implementation is designed to export the document in a way that Excel could understand the data in the report and offer extended sorting and filtering capabilities.
