Indexing engine cannot create RuleIndex folder

SA-26000

Summary

From a node other than the indexing node the Search landing page is opened and the Index directory path is referred.
Once the button "Submit" is clicked an error message appears referring that it is impossible to create the "RuleIndex" directory.

Error Messages

The Flow Action post-processing activity pzLPLuceneManagerSaveLuceneDetails failed: java.lang.RuntimeException: Cannot create directory: /opt/GMGRCJP22/temp/PegaRULESIndex/RuleIndex

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Go to Designer Studio>System > Settings > Search.
  2. Fill the host node settings and Index directory path and Submit.

Root Cause

The indexing setup was already performed on the indexing node. From another node in the cluster when the index directory path of the host node is referred it the throws the error.

This is because the path is unknown to the current node as it belongs to a different(HOST) node. This setup is also not necessary as it has already ben done on one node(Host node) in the cluster.

Resolution

Index directory path is not referred in the non-Indexing node.
The update must be done from the Indexing node.
