Install script execution for Pega 7.2 is stuck

Summary



Pega 7.2 install script hangs.  User retried and it hangs at same task of trying to apply DDL changes.
Apply DDL Inner:
[echo] using driver jar file: /opt/oracle/ojdbc7.jar

 

Error Messages



No errors it just hangs.

Steps to Reproduce



Run install.sh script.


Root Cause



A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment. The installation was being run from a Network File System (NFS) and an issue with NFS was causing the install to hang trying to obtain a lock on a log file.

Resolution



Make the following change to the operating environment: 

Run the install from a local hard drive.
