Installation error on CustomerServices_714.jar

Summary



When attempting to import Pega Customer Service 7.1.4 into a Pega 7.1.8 environment, the import fails with the below error:

•The Flow Action post-processing activity pxSetShowAllSteps failed: java.lang.RuntimeException: Error reading archive: PegaArchiveException
•** java.lang.RuntimeException: Error reading archive: PegaArchiveException PRRuleMgmtUtils.createArchiveForRead(PRFile) Unable to construct instance of ApplicationBundle.

On import screen:

Steps to Reproduce



1) From the DesignerStudio menu, select Application > Distribution > Import
2) Choose CustomerService_714.jar and upload
3) Enable advanced mode and select Next

The issue also occurs without enabling the advanced mode.

 

Root Cause



When attempting to import CustomerServices_714.jar using a different approach, the additional error message indicates the import fails because the lack of disk space.

1) Manually copy CustomerServices_714.jar into PegaTemp\StaticContent\global\ServiceExport directory.

2) Do not upload the file in the Import Wizard. Instead, click Next
.


3) Select CustomerServices_714.jar from the list and import the archive. 

The import failed with the below error stating there is not enough space in the file system.



Resolution



Allocate additional disk space to the environment.
