Installed Pega 7.1.9 does not auto-populate the Identifier

After installing Pega 7.1.9, user noticed that auto-populate for identifier is not displaying, instead a text box appears to write identifier manually, when the new rule is selected.

This behavior is replicable only with below configuration:

Application Server : WebSphere
Database : Oracle DB.

Error Messages

Not Applicable.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Run the installation of Pega 7.1.9 for WebSphere and Oracle DB.
2. After installation, try creating new rule or Save As, the new form opens with identifier field as text field, instead of auto-populated label with edit button.
3. Observe the reported behavior.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules: when pyUserLocale value is set in for Pega 7.1.8 and after version. The text field is made available to enter the identifier value.

Earlier in Pega 7.1.7 and before version. The auto-populates works even if the pyUserLocale value is set.

Though later from Pega 7.1.8, this was changed and user was allowed to enter the value in a text field in their local language.

An enhancement request has been created for consideration by Pega Product Management (FDBK-13935).

Auto-populate should be made available for all variation of English language.
