Interaction timeout and Locking issues after Upgradation



After few minutes of idleness, the Lock on the work item is lost and an error message displays.

Error Messages

You have the lost the ability to make this change because a change elsewhere has taken precedence over the change you made here.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Launch the Interaction portal.
  2. Open any work item.
  3. Keep the work item idle for some time.
  4. Perform any action on the work object.

Root Cause

When clicking the screen after waiting for a while the lock is released in the doUIAction activity in a step. In this step, 'pzIsPortalSDM()' When condition is present.

For the Java code, if pxObjectClass != "" or null, invoke the 'WorkUnlock' activity to release the lock. 'pzIsPortalSDM()' returns True and the lock is released. Therefore, the error message displays.


As a local-change, modify the locking on case type to 'Optimistic'.
