Issue with 'Display value using read only formatting' check box

Summary



The requirement is to show the user selected date in 01/01/2001 format.

For that user must check “Display Value using Read-only formatting” by selecting format option in DateFormat drop-down of READONLY FORMAT section.

When user does that the format is overriding the value that user provided and reverting to the old value.

As a result format error message and value provided are mismatching.

Steps to Reproduce



Check "Display value using read-only formatting" option on Cell Properties of Date Time control:


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules:

In this case, it is setting the previous data-display-value to the actual value of the datatime control when error message is getting displayed as user is not updating the data-display-value when error is there and data-formatting is coming as yes. 

Resolution



Apply HFix-29962.
