Issue in live view reports

SA-2159

Summary

User has a list view which has a datetime property as a criteria. Prompt Settings has been configured to let the user enter the date time.
At runtime, if the user selects the datetime from the calendar, the datetime property value would be something like this “9/23/2014 06:22 PM”.
At runtime, the getContent activity errors out with this error “String was not a date "9/23/2014 06:22 PM"

Error Messages

String was not a date

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a listview report with date filter condition.
2. Run the report.
3. Filter the report on date , select value from calendar and submit

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code/rules.
The issue is due to change in logic of getContent activity while foriming the sql query.
In 6.3 SP1, date string is passed to to_date sql function and hence the sql query succeeds.

Resolution

This issue is resolved through the following local change:
Use report definition instead of list view
