Selection made in Prompt Select is not retained when special characters are present in the selected value, once the section is refreshed.

Error Messages

Steps to Reproduce

1) Create a prompt select field, with source as Local List/Prompt List.
2) Make sure the StandardValue/Table Value has special characters.
3) Enable OnChange refresh section for PromptSelect Control/ trigger refresh section through some other event.
4) Try selecting a value from the list and let the refresh section trigger.
5) The selection is lost and default value is displayed. Value selected is present in clipboard.

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code/rules.

crossScriptingFilter functionality has been added to the values as part of a HFix dependent, and these encrptyed value is been compared with the promptlist/locallist value which are not equal.
Ex: crossScriptingFilter API encodes “+” to “+”, but which in turn is compared to + after refresh.

This issue is resolved by hotfix item

HFix-10137 has been supplied and is working fine.
