Issue with Pulse hyperlink

Summary



User mentioned in Pulse using @ does not get converted to user name with hyperlink for Email interactions on the Interaction portal. However, the issue does not occur for phone interactions.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Launch an Interaction portal
  2. Open an Email interaction
  3. Open Pulse
  4. Create a Pulse tag message by referring a Case ID or an Operator ID
  5. Open the object by clicking hyperlink


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules,.The issue occurred along with the introduction of Rich Text support where the user is required to use Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) to sanitize the HTML user input. Conversion of @ to HTML entity, which is an unexpected behavior, takes place due to OWASP.

Resolution



This issue is addressed in Pega 8.3.3 patch release.
