Issue with Scenario test case recording

SA-97993

Summary

When a repeating grid contains a radio button and the user records a test case, the unique ID for the radio button is not generated. Hence, the test case recording does not occur.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Configure a table layout with a page list consisting of a radio button for selection.
  2. Start recording the Scenario portal test case.
  3. Record the radio button selection

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code  or rules.
The issue occurs when the user records a step where the radio buttons are in a non-tempate grid. An invalid step (GridRow) is recorded instead of the radio button step. JavaScript error related to the missing class displays. This is due to the missing data-test-id and radioTable class generation on the radio button when it is present in the grid.

Resolution

This feature is implemented in Pega Platform 8.1.8.
