Issue with summary view records alignment

Summary



User is facing an issue while using more than one group by column in Report Definition.

The columns are not displayed in proper format in the summary view and user want the summary view to be displayed in table format, that is, the values are not aligned exactly below the Column header.

 

Error Messages



Not applicable.


Steps to Reproduce



1) Create a Report Definition with two group by columns.
2) Add 10-15 columns and last column with long header text.
3) Run the report and observe the content and header alignment mismatch.
4) Also observe that last header text is getting truncated.

 

Root Cause



A software use or operation error :-

User has checked option for "Do not scroll header" in Report Viewer tab due to which alignment issue was occurring, and also for number field by default those are aligned to right side of the column but user wanted to make it left aligned. Last column header was also getting truncated.

Resolution



Perform the following local-change: 

1. Remove the check for "Do not scroll header" under "Report Viewer" tab in report definition to fix the alignment issue coming for few Report definition.
2. Add the below style in "pyReportEditorStyling.css" to fix the column header alignment issue. It will make the long header text into word-wrapped.

        white-space:pre-wrap;
    }
