Steps to Reproduce

  1. Enter some bulletin text in word.
  2. Copy the text from the word document .
  3. Paste into a rich text editor control in PEGA.

Root Cause

Pega 7 is using CK editor for RTE whereas in 6x versions YUI editor was used.

Resolution

Pega 7 is using CK editor for RTE. This is a third party tool integrated into the product. User can check the same from below link: http://ckeditor.com/latest/samples/

This is expected behavior.

MS word has specific formats which are applicable only to MS Word, and those formats will be bundled along with MS word software.
When we copy them to CKEditor, it will not understand those formats and will be ignored.

Also as a best practice, user can use paste from word option available in advanced RTE while copying any data from word as shown in the screen shot.
