Java generation Failed while saving flow rule

Summary



Java Generation Failed error occurs while saving a flow rule. This occurs post upgrade to Smart Investigate for Payments 7.11 and Pega 7.2.


Error Messages



Looking for instance Rule-Message @BASECLASS!EXCEPTION THROWN BY "COM.PEGARULES.GENERATED.PEGA_PROCESSENGINE_FLOWFUA.FLOWMETHODBODY" in the Rule Resolution cache.


Steps to Reproduce

  1. Upgrade from PRPC 6.3 to Pega 7.2.
  2. Upgrade to Smart Investigate for Payments 7.11.
  3. Save As the PegaSI-Work-.SISearchForDup flow. 


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules. 

The SISearchDuplicates activity of 'PegaSI-Work-CorrBkChg' class is invoked from a Utility shape. In the Parameters tab of the activity, the 'SmartPrompt Type' value of the ScrollRuleName parameter is set to 'Rule-Search-Scoring' value. This value is not present in the system.



Resolution



Perform the following local-change for the ScrollRuleName parameter in the SISearchDuplicates activity: 

Modify the 'SmartPrompt Type' value to 'Rule-PegaApp-Search-Scoring'.
