Java Scrip Function not invoked when label contains apostrophe

Summary



If there is apostophe(') is present in the label of Navigation rule item name, then the onclick functionality of menu option is not working. It is throwing javascript error.

Error Messages



No action performed on click of labels with apostrophe(') which has a java script in its onclick.


Steps to Reproduce



1. Create navigation rule with some submenu items.
2. Include apostrophe(') in label of submenu item.
3. Run the flow and try to click the menu item which has the apostrophe(') in label.
observe the Javascript error.


Root Cause



The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code/rules 
FUNCTION pzMenuBarTranslator • pzActionShowHarness


Resolution



This issue is resolved by hotfix item HFIX-20350
