Java.lang.ClassCastException shown in SMA and developer portal

SA-1347

Summary



Customer is getting exceptions runing 'list' features under normal use of SMA and developer portal.
This error is being observed when using SMA while accessing nodes, and while opening rules under Records > Sysadmin

Steps to Reproduce



1) Accessing Pega > Records > Sysadmin > Any rule will cause an error.

Root Cause



The root cause of this problem is defect/misconfiguration in the PRPC operating environment.  A malformed prlogging.xml will cause unexpected behavior.


Resolution



This issue is resolved through the following local change: Reverting to a previous known working prlogging.xml file resolved the issue.
