javax.net.ssl.SSLPeerUnverifiedException: peer not authenticated

Summary



Post upgrade to Pega 8.2.1, SSLPeerUnverifiedException occurs for the Connect-HTTP method. The Connect- HTTP endpoint is secure and is a Request Only call.


Error Messages



javax.net.ssl.SSLPeerUnverifiedException: peer not authenticated


Steps to Reproduce

  1. Upgrade Pega Platform 7.1.7 to Pega Platform 8.2.1.
  2. Create an HTTP method.
  3. Select the Request Only checkbox. Test the connection. The connection is successful.
  4. Invoke the connection from an activity
  5. Pass all the parameters.
  6. Execute the flow.


Root Cause



A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.


Resolution



Perform either of the the following local-changes:
  • Uncheck the Request Only checkbox in the Connect-HTTP rule.
  • Replace the Connect-HTTP rules with REST connectors.
